Barbora Xu Trio

Barbora Xu (Barbora Silhánová) is a Czech singer and multi-instrumentalist who works across Europe and Asia, playing the zither, Chinese guzheng, and Finnish kantele. Her work as a composer and performer is deeply influenced by local poetry, nature, the tranquility experienced in the natural light and sounds of forests, the fullness of the human voice, and the ensemble of handmade instruments. The focus of her art lies in reviving ancient music and creating contemporary compositions for traditional poetry.
