An immersive dance theatre performance with Dr. Levente András Farkas
Choreographer: Krisztina Szőllősi
“I am young, do not touch my dress!
Oh, do not even look at me!”
What can we truly know about an experience that awaits each of us — or more precisely, awaits us all in death — yet cannot be shared once it has occurred?
How can we talk meaningfully about death?
In Franz Schubert’s poignant and haunting composition, death is soft-spoken and friendly, while the maiden is anxious and afraid. Through Krisztina Szőllősi’s choreography, the dancers of the Győri Ballet embody the intense emotional journey of acceptance and the weight of mortality.
Dr. Levente András Farkas, a cultural influencer who describes himself as “trapped between two worlds,” offers his reflections on life and death through the lens of art — making even the end feel like part of the everyday.
This unique immersive dance theatre experience combines expressive movement and evocative narration to guide us through the unknown — something we can only imagine, never fully know.
The visual design of the performance was created in collaboration with students from the Design Campus of Széchenyi István University.
With live music performed by the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra.
