One of Győr's most distinctive summer events, the Baroque Wedding, once again transports visitors to the splendour of the 18th century. Set against the magnificent Baroque backdrop of the historic city centre and Széchenyi Square, this two-day celebration begins with the ceremonial presentation of the Royal Charter and a traditional Baroque serenade. On Saturday, historical reenactors, dancers, musicians and elegantly decorated horse-drawn carriages bring the spirit of the era to life, culminating in a spectacular Baroque wedding ceremony held at Dunakapu Square in the evening. Combining history, music, dance and living traditions, the Baroque Wedding offers a truly unique cultural experience in the heart of Győr year after year.
