The concert title is Jelbeszéd 2.0.
One of the reasons for this is that fifty years ago, in 1973, Koncz's fifth studio album, Jelbeszéd (Sign Language), was released. Its exceptional songs, as well as its "tumultuous fate" (it was banned shortly after its release), ensure it holds a prominent place among the other successful albums in her career.
For the 50th anniversary, a recent remastered edition of the album was released, now enhanced with bonus tracks.
The other reason for the concert is that among the bonus tracks is the new song by János Bródy, Jelbeszéd 2.0, which, as intended, connects the legendary album of the past with our present.
As always, the concert program will feature a dual focus.
The performance will include songs from Koncz's recent successful albums, Tündérország (Fairyland), Vadvilág (Wild World), and Szabadnak születtél (Born Free), as well as Koncz classics like Valahol egy lány (Somewhere There's a Girl), Kárpáthyék lánya (The Daughter of the Kárpáthy Family), and Ég és föld között (Between Heaven and Earth). There will be poetry, and, of course, songs from the original Jelbeszéd album as well.
