Candlelight Concert

An evening that takes you out of the everyday. A special concert where music, lighting, and venue together create an entirely unique atmosphere.

 

On April 26, the special ambiance of candlelight concerts reaches a new level in the breathtaking interior of the Győr Synagogue, where the light of hundreds of candles provides the perfect backdrop for the evening’s stars: the La Contessa String Quartet.

 

Formed in 2015, the members of La Contessa are acclaimed musicians from Budapest symphony orchestras. Their concerts, known for their special atmosphere, have primarily taken place in castles and palaces, including exclusive events at the Gödöllő Royal Palace, as well as the annual Zenél a Kastély Festival since 2021. The quartet’s cohesive playing and refined performance style provide a lasting experience for every audience.

 

The program features the most beautiful and well-known works of classical music — timeless pieces that have captivated listeners for centuries. Each piece is carefully chosen; individually timeless, together they create a harmonious and uplifting musical arc.
