Trumpet Concert

Trumpet Concert

Start — May 8, 2026 at 8:00 PM
End — May 8, 2026 at 9:30 PM

On this unrepeatable evening, the music of Lőrinc Barabás and the conceptual visual world of Ilia Filin will meet for the first time in the space of the Evangelical Old Church, immersing the audience in a unique, truly sacred interdisciplinary experience.

Lőrinc Barabás is a Hungarian trumpeter and composer known for his innovative work in jazz, electronic, and neoclassical music. Over a prolific career spanning nearly two decades, he has released twelve albums as a solo artist and as a member of various formations.

In his solo performances, he creates richly atmospheric compositions with cinematic qualities, where expressive piano playing and his distinctive trumpet sound intertwine with electronic elements, grooves, and layered sound textures.

In his live concerts, trumpet, piano, and synthesizers form an organic unity, creating a unique contemporary sound world that reflects the spirit of the neoclassical movement associated with artists such as Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds.

Ilia Filin works at the intersection of technology and creativity, creating visual elements that bring sounds to life in a unique and captivating way. For him, true magic happens when technology and artistic expression merge to create something innovative.
