Golden Ship - Trade sign

Golden Ship - Trade sign

— Statues, Fountains, Trade-signs

The Golden Ship trade sign originally ornamented the building at Széchenyi Square 1, where a spice and delicatessen shop was operated. Later, the shop along with its trade sign was moved to its current location. In 1940 a new trade sign, the work of Bandi Schima replaced the old one which is now in the city museum. The 'new' trade sign has become the most renowned and beautiful of all the Győr trade signs. It is still in the same place today, but now it advertises a pharmacy named Aranyhajó Patika (Golden Ship Pharmacy) since 1991.
