— Statues, Fountains, Trade-signs
A family in Győr has been dealing with blue dyeing since 1906, their shop is located on the corner of Dr. Kovács Pál Street and Jedlik Ányos Street. The trade sign hanging above depicts a blue-dyeing girl and was made by Ferenc Lebó, a sculptor from Győr, in 2015.
The trade sign in the street, along with others (you can recognize them by their uniform frames), have been preserved thanks to the project titled 'Bustling Downtown.' Have a look around the shop too as the tradition of blue-dyeing has recently been added to the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
