TEMPORARILY CLOSED!
Founded in 1654 by Jesuit brothers, the ornament of the pharmacy is a vault decorated by stucco and pictures. In the cabinets we find antique pharmacy dishes and other curiosities from medical history on display, while the museum also features a gastro-intestinal suturing instrument (also known as gastric stapler), the invention of world-renowned Győr-born physician Aladár Petz. The Széchényi Pharmacy Museum is the only museum in the country that also functions as a modern-day pharmacy.
